Developing Hand-Eye Coordination - Advanced Catching Session
This week's session aims to improve your players' fielding skills when they're running hard to position themselves under the high catch and moving at speed to try and cut out daisy cutters (fast rolling balls)! Read on to learn more!
By this stage of the rounders season your players should be used to dealing with a number of different types of ball when fielding - including difficult bobblers and high balls. This session aims to give your players a little extra practice in this structured session.

With match-like exercises, working in small groups, your players will practice catching and stopping the ball from difficult deliveries - reviewing the barrier catch and practising catching high balls when running at speed.
Final thought: "Players don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." Have a lot of enthusiasm in every session you teach. Do this your players will feed off it!
